Bloom

A calm productivity application designed to support routines, focus and progress without pressure.

Bloom routine and focus application

What it does

Bloom began as a frontend prototype exploring a calmer approach to productivity for neurodivergent users.
It has since grown into a full-stack application with accounts and saved routines.

01

Flexible routines

Create routines, complete steps and return to progress across sessions.

02

Guided demo

Explore the application without registering or using a personal account.

03

Low-pressure design

Supportive feedback helps users return after missed days without streak penalties.

How it works

React

Interface for routines, focus sessions and accessibility controls.

FastAPI

API for authentication, protected routes and saved user data.

PostgreSQL

Persistent storage for account profiles, routines and progress.

Engineering decision

Visitors should be able to explore Bloom without registering, while account data remains private. I kept the guided demo on separate sample data and state, apart from authenticated data stored in PostgreSQL.
